The Pankaj Award to End Conflict is a global initiative launched by Regent Global in partnership with One Young World to recognize and support young leaders who are actively working to prevent conflict and promote unity. With a total funding commitment of $250,000, the award seeks to empower individuals who are addressing the root causes of division, including identity-based tensions, inequality, and lack of understanding between communities.

In an era marked by increasing global conflict, the award highlights the role of emerging leaders in building sustainable peace. It acknowledges individuals who are implementing innovative solutions at local, national, or regional levels to reduce violence and foster social cohesion. The program places particular emphasis on initiatives that encourage dialogue, protect marginalized groups, and promote long-term peacebuilding strategies. By recognizing such efforts, the award aims to amplify impactful work and inspire broader global engagement in conflict resolution.

Ten finalists are selected based on their demonstrated contributions and measurable impact in areas such as conflict prevention, education, advocacy, and community empowerment. These finalists gain international visibility and become part of a global network of change-makers associated with One Young World. From this group, a single winner is chosen by an independent expert panel, with the final decision announced at the Global Unity Dinner.

The award is deeply rooted in the personal experiences of Selva Pankaj and Tharshiny Pankaj, who were shaped by the impacts of the Sri Lankan Civil War. Their vision is to support a new generation of leaders committed to rebuilding communities and fostering peace in divided societies. The initiative not only provides financial support but also strengthens the global dialogue on unity and cooperation. Overall, the Pankaj Award represents a significant platform for recognizing leadership that contributes to a more peaceful and inclusive world.
