The McCall MacBain Scholarships are now accepting applications for the 2027 cohort at McGill University in Canada. Established to support future leaders who aspire to create meaningful change, the scholarship combines full financial support with mentorship, leadership development, and interdisciplinary learning opportunities. The program seeks individuals who demonstrate exceptional character, community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, and academic excellence. Each year, up to 30 full scholarships and 100 entrance awards are offered to outstanding candidates from Canada and around the world.

Unlike traditional scholarship programs that focus solely on academic achievement, the McCall MacBain Scholarships emphasize leadership and impact. Scholars become part of a diverse community of changemakers while pursuing eligible master’s or professional degree programs at McGill University. In addition to receiving financial support, scholars participate in mentorship programs, leadership workshops, and interdisciplinary experiences designed to help them maximize their potential and contribute positively to society.
The scholarship is open to applicants from all countries who meet the eligibility requirements and plan to pursue full-time graduate studies at McGill University. - Full Tuition and Fees: The scholarship covers the full tuition and mandatory fees for an eligible master’s or professional program at McGill University.
- Monthly Living Stipend: Scholars receive a living stipend of CAD 2,300 per month during academic terms to support living expenses.
- Summer Funding: Additional funding opportunities are available to eligible scholars during the summer.
- Relocation Grant: Recipients receive a relocation grant to assist with moving to Montreal for their studies.
- Mentorship and Leadership Development: Scholars participate in mentorship programs, leadership training, and interdisciplinary learning experiences throughout their studies.
Eligibilities
- Applicants Must-
- Apply for an eligible master’s or professional degree program at McGill University for Summer or Fall 2027.
- Complete their first bachelor’s degree by August 2027, or have earned it in January 2021 or later.
- Be 30 years old or younger on January 1, 2026, if their bachelor’s degree was earned before January 2021.
- Meet the admission and language requirements of their chosen program.
- Demonstrate leadership potential, community involvement, strong character, and academic excellence.
