  • The work must be personal, original, and unpublished, submitted by the author(s).

  • The work must have been successfully presented and/or defended during the 2024-2025 academic year.

  • The work must be done at a recognized higher education institution in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

  • For Bac and Master prizes, the work must be an end-of-studies thesis.

  • For the Doctoral prize, the work must be a doctoral thesis.

  • Bac and Master applicants must have obtained a minimum score of 16/20 (about 80%), proven by official transcripts, diplomas, or certificates.

  • Only one application per person per edition and per award category.

The application process for the Prix Philippe Maystadt 2024-2025 is as follows:

  • Language Requirement: Summaries must be in French, so applicants should ensure high-quality translation and proofreading if French is not their first language.

  • Evaluation Criteria: Applications are evaluated on relevance, originality, scientific rigor, clarity, popularisation potential, quality of analysis, societal contributions, and impact on education in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

  • Support: Applicants can seek assistance with proposal drafting or review to strengthen their application.
