The Better Tomorrow Movement (TBTM) Communications for Change Program 2019

Comms4Change is a FREE Online Learning Program created by award-winning organisation The Better Tomorrow Movement for people launching or scaling up a social start-up or impact project. 

It is for those working on creating or have a strong plan to create a positive impact in their communities, in areas such as: 

  • Environmental Planning
  • Poverty Alleviation 
  • Public Health 
  • Climate Change 
  • Gender Relations 
  • Human Rights

The Program delivers three interactive learning modules around the topics of branding, pitching and communications in the context of a social impact project. 

Comms4Change has been created in collaboration with global experts and researchers from Accenture, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Brooks Social Media, Oxford University, OxiWear and more! 

The program will run over a 6 month period, covering 3 modules and a final assignment.

With a strong focus on using and learning open-source digital tools, this program aims to help its participants acquire skills surrounding effectively communicating their ongoing or upcoming social impact project with all key stakeholders. 

Some tools you will be working with:

  • Canva
  • Wix/Squarespace
  • Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc)
  • LinkedIn

The intimate structure of the program (a virtual classroom of 8-10 participants) will also enable trainees to broaden their professional network, be inspired by other Changemakers from around the world, form lasting friendships, and hopefully even collaborate on their positive social impact projects! 

Participants who successfully participate in the program will receive regular and thorough feedback and a certificate upon completion. 

Eligibilities

Must:

  • Be under the age of 30
  • Be in the planning or execution stage of a social impact project
  • Be able to dedicate 10 hours for this program
  • Have an eagerness to learn and receive feedback and constructive criticism
  • Have access to a steady internet connection for at least 4 days a week (this program is delivered entirely online and therefore steady internet access is required)
