The School of environment, Tsinghua university was the 2nd university in QS world ranking by subject for Environmental Science in 2025. Summer schools are an integral part of the mission of School of Environment (SOE), Tsinghua University to promote cross-cultural communication and global connections. They provide a valuable platform for students across the globe to better connect with China, academically and culturally, and to expand their horizons. Alongside the interdisciplinary-focused International Summer School, SOE hosts many subject-oriented summer schools that enable students to focus on their learning and connect with professors and peers in environmental field.

This years theme for this program is “Carbon Neutrality and Environmental Protection”. Under this theme the program offers field trips, lectures, project buildings, lab visits and many more. The program is funded by China Scholarship Council and it’s open for all current undergraduate and master’s students.
