Apply to become a mentor for SEALNet Project Brunei 2019, Youth.RISE: Resilient, Innovative, Skillful and Employable, which is one of SEALNet signature summer project that will address issues with employability and will be conducted in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam from 3rd – 16th July 2019.

PB19 would like to call out individuals having passions toward issues for unemployment and skill development of youth to come forward and take part in empowering the youths to become more resilient, innovative and skillful for employability by inquiring into the core problem of unemployment.

Role of Mentor:
In the project, SEALNet strongly believes that the project is owned by everyone. Mentors, especially, are not just passive participants for this project but are highly involved in the planning process before the actual on-site work. These planning includes designing curriculum for both leadership training and service week, learning how to manage human and financial resources, as well as express their creativity through media.

Eligibilities

  • Applicant should be between 17-28 (preferable university student
  • Applicant should share the same passion for issues of unemployment and skill development of youth
  • Applicant should demonstrate strong leadership skills or leadership potential and is committed to lifelong learning and self-development
  • Applicant should have a strong desire and dedication to help and serve the community in needs
  • Applicant should be dedicated to mentees during and after the project
  • Applicant should be willing to fundraise for the project
  • Applicant should be fully committed to the tasks distributed during the project from April to July
  • Applicant should be proficient in English
  • Applicant should be open-minded and respectful other culture, religion, opinions and diversity.

    • Shortlisted applicants will be informed and contacted for an interview in early April, 3rd – 10th April 2019.
    • Final applicant list will be released in Mid-April.
