Apply for the Italian Government Scholarships 2019-20: “Invest Your Talent in Italy” Program.

Recognizing the importance of the international students as a fundamental instrument for the internationalization of the Country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – Directorate General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation, ITA – Italian Trade Agency, and Uni-Italia, with the support of Unioncamere (Italian Chambers of Commerce), and Confindustria (Confederation of Italian Industries), will award scholarships for the academic year 2019-2020 in favor of international students interested in attending higher education courses in Italy within the framework of the “ Invest Your Talent in Italy” Program.

Scholarships are awarded for courses of Master’s degree (Laurea magistrale or Master universitario) at Italian Higher Education Institutes (state-owned institutions or institutions legally recognized by the relevant State authorities) partners of the “Invest Your Talent in Italy” Program. The program includes the attendance of a mandatory internship at selected Italian companies which are partners of the initiative.

Benefits

  • Candidates who have been granted scholarships under the Invest Your Talent in Italy” Program are exempted from the payment of tuition fees except for the Regional Tax for “Diritto allo Studio”.
  • Grantees must subscribe a health insurance policy to bear any expenses due to illnesses or accidents.
  • The IYT scholarships are worth € 8.100 (€ 900,00 per 9 months) with tuition fees exemption.
  • Grantee will receive a 900,00 € monthly allowance on a quarterly basis, which will be paid on his/her Italian bank account.
  • The first installment of the scholarship can only be received after the completion of University enrollment and the submission of all the documents requested according to the necessary administrative procedures. The last installment of the scholarship will be paid only upon verification that conditions established under Article 6.2 of this Call have been fulfilled.

 

 

Eligibilities

  • To be Citizen of one of the 15 Countries listed in the Call (Azerbaijan, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mexico, People’s Republic of China, Turkey and Vietnam);
  • To be no more than 26 years old on the deadline of the Call, except for the only renewals (you cannot apply if you were born before January 31, 1993);
  • To hold a Bachelor’s Degree to enroll in the chosen Master’s degree Program (Laurea Magistrale or Master Universitario);
  • To have at least a B2-level of English. An English language certificate within the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (highly recommended IELTS, TOEIC & TOEFL) is required.
  • Proof of proficiency in Italian is not mandatory, but it will be taken into consideration in the selection process.

Application Process

  • Candidates must complete and submit the online application form available at the official link.
  • Applications must be submitted from November 20, 2018 to January 31, 2019 until 12:00 (Midday, Italian Time).
  • Candidates must provide the following documents:
    • The final transcript of all previous exams as well as the final grade (Bachelor’s Degree).
    • In case a candidate has completed his/her BA program but he/she has not yet received the Bachelor’s Degree from the University, along with the final transcript of all previous exams he/she should also submit a document from the University certifying that the candidate has completed his/her Bachelor’s program and is waiting for the diploma; this document must be issued and signed by a representative of the Academic Registrar’s Office.
    • An official translation into English is required if the documents are in a language other than English, French and Spanish. Both the translated documents and the original copies must be provided;
    • English language certificate (IELTS or TOEFL);
    • Italian language certificate. It is not mandatory, but if submitted, it will receive a score.
    • A video no more than one minute long about their motivations;
    • CV/Resume;
  • Valid Passport or valid National Identity Document.
  • Incomplete applications will not be accepted. It is not possible to send the supporting documents by email.
