Mary McNeill Scholarships 2019 is being offered at the Queen’s University of Belfast.

Mary McNeill, author of The life and times of Mary Ann McCracken, and a leading figure in the Irish Association was a distinguished Irish historian.  This scholarship is founded in her memory. Applications will be judged by a panel chaired by the Director of Irish Studies on the basis of academic merit and reasons for taking the course. Queen’s has invested over £50m in the McClay Library, blending the best features of a traditional library with the latest technology. Facilities include computing and media services, IT training rooms, quiet study and group work areas, a cafe, a Language Centre and a vast range of printed works.

Two scholarships to the value of £3,000 each are available for well–qualified students enrolling in the one–year MA in Irish Studies at the Queen’s University of Belfast in September 2019.

Eligibilities

This scholarship is open only to residents of the USA or Canada, enrolling as overseas students on this MA course, and will take the form of a fee bursary covering part of their student fees.
