Call for International Master’s Scholarship Program at Université Paris-Saclay is open now!!!
As part of the internationalization strategy of its master’s programs, Université Paris-Saclay offers scholarships to outstanding international students to facilitate their access to its courses. They are particularly aimed at, but not limited to, those wishing to pursue a PhD.
Both M1 (first year of master’s) and M2 (second year of master’s) are eligible. The scholarship is awarded for the academic year corresponding the year of the call for applications. No deferment is allowed. The scholarship will automatically renew for a second year for any laureate admitted in M1 who, upon completion of all required credit, is admitted in an M2 program of Université Paris-Saclay.

Selected among numerous candidates in the framework of the international master’s scholarship program, you have been awarded a merit-based scholarship by Université Paris-Saclay. The scholarship is paid for one year to any laureate admitted in M2 (second year of master’s). The scholarship is paid for two years to any laureate admitted in M1 (first year of master’s) provided they obtain all required credit and are admitted in the second year of master’s at Université ParisSaclay. In case a laureate needs to repeat the year, the scholarship will be stopped.

The scholarship will be suspended, without any deferment, during any period of time the laureate attends courses in an institution outside of Université Paris-Saclay (in France or abroad). But it will be maintained at a reduced rate during compulsory international mobility programs required by some master’s or academic exchange programs between Université Paris-Saclay and its international partners (double degrees with compulsory mobility, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees…). This compulsory mobility cannot be carried out in the student’s country or institution of origin.
Payment of the scholarship will be suspended for any non-compulsory mobility. For delocalized master’s programs, laureates will receive a reduced scholarship for the semesters spent abroad and a full scholarship for the semesters spent on one of Université Paris-Saclay campuses in France.
Internships in research laboratories must preferably be undertaken within Université Paris-Saclay research labs. Otherwise, the scholarship will either be reduced or suspended. Internships in France, aside those within research laboratories of Université Paris-Saclay, which stipends exceed 1000 euros per month, will lead to a suspension of the scholarship. Paid or unpaid internships abroad will lead to a suspension of the scholarship.

- Living grant: The international master’s scholarship is 10 000 euros per year. Its amount is reduced during months spent abroad (compulsory international mobility, delocalized master’s programs) or during internships undertaken outside of Université Paris Saclay affiliated labs.
- Travel and visa flat fee: A yearly flat fee of up to 900 euros supporting travel and visa costs is paid to each laureate. Its amount depends on the country of origin of the candidate.
- Scholarship payment modalities: The scholarship is paid in 10 monthly instalments from September to June by bank transfer to an account in euros opened in the name of the laureate. Laureates will receive their scholarship as well as travel expenses only upon arrival in France and once they have registered in the program to which they have been admitted. No advance payment can be made.
- Registration and tuition fees: Registration and tuition fees are not covered by the international master’s scholarship of Université Paris-Saclay. It is of laureates’ responsibility to pay for these fees. A request for partial or full discount can be made to the enrolment institution but it remains at the sole discretion of this institution.
- Accommodation: Laureates will be supported in their search for accommodation. However, the reservation of accommodation cannot be guaranteed and it is of laureates’ responsibility to anticipate the search for housing.
- Support: Laureates will be supported in their administrative procedures, particularly for their visa and residence permits. They will also benefit from all the services offered to internationalstudents at Université ParisSaclay for their arrival and integration. Eligibilities
Students of foreign nationality meeting the following cumulative criteria are eligible to apply:
- Admission in a master’s degree of Université Paris-Saclay operated by one of the following institutions: AgroParisTech, CentraleSupélec, ENS Paris-Saclay, INSTN-CEA, IOGS, Université Évry Paris-Saclay, Université Paris-Saclay, UVSQ
- First-time enrolment in France (students who have never been registered in a French Higher Education Institution – except exchange programs, Erasmus Mundus joint master’s degrees without a French degree, internships and language programs)
- Under 30 years of age during the year of application
- Students who are receiving any other funding above 600 euros per month will be declared ineligible. The international master’s scholarship cannot be cumulated with France Excellence Eiffel or France Excellence Europa scholarships, neither with Erasmus Mundus scholarships.
