The GREAT Scholarships 2023 scheme is jointly funded by Bangor University, the UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign, and the British Council. Each scholarship is worth £10,000 towards the tuition fee for a one-year postgraduate course.

Bangor University (Welsh: Prifysgol Bangor) is a public university in Bangor, Wales. It received its Royal Charter in 1885 and was one of the founding institutions of the federal University of Wales. Officially known as University College of North Wales (UCNW; Welsh: Coleg Prifysgol Gogledd Cymru), and later the University of Wales, Bangor (UWB; Welsh: Prifysgol Cymru, Bangor), in 2007 it became Bangor University, independent from the University of Wales.

Eligibilities

  • Be a citizen of Ghana.
  • Hold an offer to start a postgraduate programme at Bangor University in September 2023.
  • Be motivated and academically able to follow a postgraduate course.
  • Active in the field with work experience or proven interest in the subject area.
  • Meet the English language requirement of your chosen postgraduate programme.

  • Check your eligibility. You MUST have received an offer letter from Bangor University
  •  Complete the GREAT scholarship application on their website by 9 May 2023.
