The University of Kent is pleased to offer Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council(EPSRC) studentships starting in September 2023 to exceptional students undertaking Ph.D. studies in the following schools:

- Division of Computing, Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences
- School of Computing
- School of Engineering
- School of Mathematics and Actuarial Science
on a full-time basis, or to home students on a part-time basis.

- A doctoral stipend (equivalent to the Research Councils UK National Minimum Doctoral Stipend, £17,668 2022/23 rate, 2023/24 to be announced) for 3.5 years.
- Tuition fees will be covered by the scholarship at the home rate.
- Access to further research support funding.
Note:
- If applied as an international candidate, Kent will waive the difference between Home and International fees.
Eligibilities
- Must have academic excellence and outstanding research potential.
- Applicants should have, or expect to obtain, a first or upper-second-class honors degree in a relevant subject, and ideally a Master’s degree or equivalent.
- A student from UK or Overseas (including the EU).
- To be classed as a Home student, candidates must meet the RCUK residency criteria.
