The campaign strengthens youth innovation, environmental responsibility, and collective action toward achieving Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation). It is inspired by World Water Day, celebrated annually on 22 March, which raises awareness about the importance of freshwater and advocates for sustainable water management.

Through a two‑step process, participants will:

  1. Map real-world water challenges in their communities.
  2. Design innovative, practical solutions to address those challenges.

This hands‑on approach fosters critical thinking, problem‑solving, and collaboration, making the campaign both educational and impactful. By equipping young people with practical STEM skills, STEMi Makers Africa empowers the next generation to tackle pressing global challenges with creativity and purpose.
