This opportunity is open to international master’s students graduating in May 2026, as well as alumni who have previously completed a master’s degree in Sweden. The traineeships aim to help participants apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings, strengthen their professional skills, and build meaningful connections with potential employers and Swedish business networks abroad.
Each traineeship is structured to ensure meaningful professional growth. Trainees will work on tasks and projects aligned with their academic field and long-term ambitions, giving them the chance to apply their Swedish education in a hands-on, international setting. Every trainee will have a designated supervisor, who will serve as their local support and main point of contact with the Swedish Embassy and SI.

The program places candidates in Swedish companies located in different countries, often within their home regions, creating opportunities to work in international business environments while contributing to local contexts. Through these placements, participants gain hands-on experience, develop practical skills, and deepen their understanding of Swedish organizational culture and values.
A key objective of the traineeship is to foster sustainable, long-term relationships between Sweden and participating countries by connecting global talent with Swedish enterprises. This initiative not only benefits the trainees by enhancing their employability and professional networks but also supports companies in accessing diverse perspectives and skilled individuals.
