Call for Applications of Google for Startups Accelerator South Africa 2026!!
The Google for Startups Accelerator South Africa is a three-month hybrid accelerator designed for technology startups headquartered in South Africa. The program supports startups at the Seed to Series A stage by providing access to Google’s technical expertise, products, people, and industry network. Rather than taking equity or charging a participation fee, the accelerator provides selected startups with equity-free support focused on solving important technical and business challenges. Each cohort brings together approximately 10–15 startups for an intensive development experience.

During the accelerator, founders work with experts from Google and the wider industry to identify and address their company’s most important technical challenges. The program combines remote and in-person one-to-one mentoring, group learning sessions, and sprint projects. Participants can also take part in specialist sessions covering areas such as product design, customer acquisition, and leadership development, helping founders strengthen both their technology and their approach to growing the business.
Selected startups can also benefit from Google’s technology ecosystem throughout the program. Eligible participants may receive early access to Google’s AI products through the Early Access Program and Trusted Tester benefits. Startups may also apply for Google Cloud credits, subject to eligibility review and approval, while participants can be eligible for free Cloud TPU access for open-source machine learning research. These resources are intended to help technically focused startups experiment, build, and scale their products more effectively.
The accelerator is particularly suited to startups that have already demonstrated traction and are building a scalable product or service with a significant total addressable market and a defensible growth model. Google also looks for deeply technical companies, preferably using technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. Founders and relevant technical team members must be committed to participating in the required sessions and engaging actively throughout the program.
