  • As part of the GSS-UTRIP Scholarship, interns will receive complimentary housing for the entire duration of their stay, including a total of 43 nights.

Eligibilities

  • International students from all around the world are eligible to apply for the University of Tokyo Summer Internship.
  • However, the internship opportunity is available to students currently in their second year or beyond at a recognized college or university outside of Japan.
  • All applicants must have completed a full year in a Bachelor’s degree program at the time of application.
  • Priority in selection is given to applicants anticipated to be in their third year of a four-year Bachelor’s program or in their second year of a three-year Bachelor’s program. Second-year students in four-year programs are also encouraged to apply.
  • Moreover, students should be enrolled in a natural science or a related field to be eligible for the UTRIP Summer Internship Program.
  • They should also have an interest in pursuing long-term career goals in a scientific area.
