The Eastern Caribbean Greenpreneurs 2023 internship program is a paid, six-month internship program that provides young people with the opportunity to gain experience in the green economy. The program is designed to help interns develop the skills and knowledge they need to start or grow their own green businesses.
The internship program is hosted by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), a treaty-based international organization that works to support sustainable economic growth in developing countries. The program is open to young people from the Eastern Caribbean who are interested in pursuing a career in the green economy.
Interns will work with GGGI staff and partners on a variety of projects, including:
- Developing business plans for green businesses
- Conducting market research
- Raising capital
- Networking with other green entrepreneurs
- Promoting green businesses
Interns will also receive training on a variety of topics, including:
- Green business development
- Sustainable finance
- Climate change mitigation and adaptation
- Entrepreneurship
- Leadership

Eligibilities
- Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (final year) or Master’s program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
- Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to GGGI’s work.
- Possess excellent spoken and written English skills.
- Have immediate availability to start the internship.
- Available to work full-time Monday-Friday, especially during business hours, and availability to attend workshops and events when required. Some evening hours may be required.
- Citizen of an OECS member country.
