The Clinton Foundation is proud to offer the Clinton Careers Internship Program for current students and recent graduates. This program is designed to provide students from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to work in a professional position while building the career they would like to pursue upon graduation. The program has three primary components: hands-on work experience, educational and professional development, and mentorship. The program also includes a lecture series, social and community service events, and culminates in a final project to help guide participants beyond their Clinton Foundation experience. Internships are approximately three months in length, but can be up to one year in some instances.

Eligibilities

The Internship Program at the Clinton Foundation is geared towards current or rising undergraduate seniors, graduate students, and postgraduates who are in good academic standing. On some occasions, we do accept sophomores and juniors pursuing their undergraduate degree.

Application Process

Please complete all components of your application. You cannot resume a partially completed application form, so make sure you have the following components ready in plain text format before you continue:

  • Program and Department Preferences (see our available internships). The application requires that you (1) choose your areas of interest and (2) prioritize your departments of choice in your short essay.
  • Short Essay (250-500 words). Explain how the internship relates to your objectives, expectations, and future goals. Please include your experiences and skills that make you a strong candidate for the internship position. Additionally, your essay should include why you have chosen the specific areas of interest and departments.
  • Short Biography (100-200 words). Briefly describe your background and personal history.
  • Current Resume.
  • Writing Sample (1-5 pages). This could be the beginning of an academic paper, a short essay, or a non-academic writing sample from a job you’ve had. It should be a clear and concise example that demonstrates your writing ability.
  • Two Letters of Recommendation. Letters of recommendation should be submitted independent of your application. Request access to submit references here. If you are a current student or recent graduate, we prefer that one letter is from a professor. ***If one or more letters are being submitted directly by a recommender, please remember to follow up with them
