The ‘Rising Leaders of Mexico’ Fellowship is a specialized program aimed at supporting and empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs in Mexico. The program focuses on providing these fellows with the necessary skills, resources, and experiences to scale their impactful ventures effectively. By participating in the Western Union Foundation Fellowship program alongside 45 other entrepreneurs, fellows will have the opportunity to learn advanced skills in entrepreneurship and leadership.

Here are the key details and components of the program:

  1. Duration: The program spans 16 weeks, with weekly programming commencing from October 2nd, 2023, to February 15th, 2024.
  2. Format: The program offers a combination of virtual and in-person components. This approach allows fellows to take advantage of the global cohort, while also emphasizing the importance of creating local impact within their communities.
  3. Immersive & Orientation: The program begins with an in-person Immersive event in Boulder, Colorado, starting on October 2nd, 2023. This event likely serves as an orientation, helping fellows get acquainted with the program and their peers.
  4. Workshops & Training: Throughout the program, fellows will engage in various workshops and training modules covering essential topics in entrepreneurship and leadership. The modules include Foundations, Data & Metrics, Go-To-Market, Funding, Team Management, and Pitch.
  5. Basecamp: Fellows will participate in 2-day impact workshops known as Basecamps. These workshops will be led by fellows themselves and are designed to increase access and opportunities within their respective communities.
  6. Summit: The program will conclude with a culminating event called the Summit. During this event, fellows will have the opportunity to pitch their ventures to local leaders, funders, and entrepreneurs. This event could potentially lead to further support and opportunities for the fellows.
  7. Seed Funding: As part of the program, fellows will have access to a total of $10,000 in seed funding. The distribution of this funding will be based on the progress and impact demonstrated by the fellows throughout the program. This financial support can help them take their ventures to the next level and drive positive change in their communities.

The ‘Rising Leaders of Mexico’ Fellowship offers a comprehensive and well-structured program to nurture the entrepreneurial talent in Mexico and equip them with the tools they need to make a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond.
