- Self-directed Tinkerers: Selected applicants get the capital, not a step-by-step instruction manual. They don’t wait for things to happen. They have consistently taken initiative, built things without being told, and solved problems they weren’t assigned.

Prolific Problem Solvers: Those who have done remarkable work — in any domain. Maybe it’s published research, a viral project, or a solution they built for their community. They have already built something when nobody was watching or supporting them. Walls can’t stop them.

Relentlessly Resourceful: Applicants who are relentlessly determined and resourceful, and exercise exceptional judgment, and MacGyver Their way through obstacles with limited resources. They can get things done regardless of the funding they have. They always figure out a way.

Creative Freedom: Fell0wship committee care what they have made, what they have discovered, what impossible thing they have somehow pulled off anyway. Committee give them the opportunity to do something.

Financial Support: All Fellows receive $100,000 equity-free to pursue their projects for the year. They keep 100% ownership.
- Networking: All can connect them directly to investors, partners, and mentors. They join a growing community of Fellows and Grantees, a group whose unique interests and skillsets can combine to create unimaginable breakthroughs.
Eligibilities
The OSV Fellowship is globally open — anyone, regardless of age, nationality, or professional background, can apply if they have a bold, high‑impact project.
- Age Range: No formal restrictions — fellows have ranged from teenagers (13) to seniors (70+).
- Backgrounds: Open to researchers, builders, creatives, educators, entrepreneurs, and independent innovators — no degree or institutional affiliation required.
- Commitment: Preference for individuals dedicating 40–60+ hours per week to their fellowship project.
Application Process
- Application Window: (January 1 – April 30, 2026) After applicants submit the application form, fellowship committee will review on a rolling basis—so the earlier they apply, the sooner they hear back. Most applicants get an update within 30 days.
- Intro Calls with the Team: (February 1 – May 30, 2026) Shortlisted applicants hop on a call with team. This is their chance to think out loud, share their vision, show how they solve problems and ask any questions they have.
- Deeper Conversations (Through May 30, 2026) Meet more of the OSV team and extended network. Each conversation brings them closer to a decision. Final selections announced by June 1st, 2026.
