Call for Applications of Collaborative Discussion Emerging Fellowship!!

The Interactivity Foundation Collaborative Discussion Emerging Fellowship 2027 is a year-long fellowship for individuals who are committed to strengthening collaborative discussion and democracy within their communities. The program is part of the Foundation’s ongoing Collaborative Discussion Project, which explores how creative, culturally responsive, and critically informed discussions can help communities build stronger relationships and improve the way people engage with one another.

Get the Youth Opportunities iOS App here for the fully-funded opportunities.

The fellowship is designed to help emerging leaders develop practical skills while working on a project that brings collaborative discussion into a real community setting. Selected Emerging Fellows will be paired with Senior Fellows, who are experienced leaders in collaborative discussion. Throughout the fellowship, fellows will receive mentorship and have opportunities to develop their own ideas, leadership abilities, and approaches to community engagement.

Applicants are expected to have a demonstrated commitment to collaborative discussion and/or strengthening democracy in a particular community. The Interactivity Foundation welcomes people from a wide range of ages, careers, backgrounds, political affiliations, religions, socioeconomic backgrounds, and lived experiences. The organization also encourages people who have not previously had access to similar fellowship opportunities to apply as part of its goal of developing new and diverse leadership.

During the fellowship, participants will develop and complete a real-world project that advances collaborative discussion. Potential projects may include designing and delivering a workshop, developing a Collaborative Discussion certificate program, creating a new activity for the Collaborative Discussion Project Toolkit, or finding innovative ways to introduce the project to new audiences. Fellows will also contribute to a publication, video, or new curriculum connected to the Foundation’s mission.
