Atlas Corps invites social change leaders from around the world to apply for our 12-month US-based and 14-month Blended In-Person Fellowships in the United States and our Virtual Leadership Institute!

  • 12 months in-person fellowship in the U.S.

The Atlas Corps In-Person Fellowship is a 12 month leadership development program in the United States for the world’s top social change leaders. Fellows serve full-time with Host Organizations to develop leadership skills and learn effective practices through the Atlas Corps Global Leadership Lab professional development series and networking opportunities with other Fellows. The U.S.-based component of the Fellowship allows participants to engage in group cultural activities like a D.C. Monuments Tour, sporting events, U.S. holiday celebrations, and more. While the In-Person Fellowship is typically 12 months, the length can be extended by an additional 6 months upon agreement of the Fellow and Host Organization.

Looking for fully-funded opportunities, install the Youth Opportunities Android or iOS App here.

In addition to full-time service at their Host Organization (an average of 40 hours per week), Fellows will also participate in over 200 hours of in-person and virtual training through our Global Leadership Lab.

Through this Fellowship program, Atlas Corps seeks to advance the U.S. State Department Education and Cultural Exchange Bureau’s Mission: To promote mutual understanding through people-to-people exchanges and to further U.S. foreign policy objectives by engaging international exchange visitors and American communities in a diversity of positive, safe, and enriching educational, cultural and professional exchange programs.

  • Blended (Remote and US-based) 14-Month Fellowship

The Blended Fellowship combines virtual service from Fellows’ home countries with service in the United States, along with in-person and virtual training through our Global Leadership Lab.

The total length of the Blended Fellowship (including the remote and in-person components) is typically 14 months but can be extended by agreement of the Fellow and Host. While the specific Fellowship structure for each placement will be defined based on the potential placement opportunity, the typical Blended Fellowship includes: Service from Fellows’ home countries, Service in the U.S. and Global Leadership Lab & Global Network.

  • Virtual Leadership
