Call for entries for the 2024 CVCE International Mountain Activity Photo Contest!
CVCEPHOTO is the International Mountain Activity Photo Contest organized by Club Vasco de Camping Elkartea, mountaineering club from San Sebastian.
The goal of the CVCE PHOTO contest is to promote mountain activities through photography, serving also as a meeting point and promotion of the authors. It counts with the collaboration of the Bilbao Mendi Film Festival, a mountain film contest attached to the International Alliance for Mountain Film. The CVCE PHOTO contest values, in addition to the creativity and aesthetic quality of the works, the value of the activity reflected in them, counting for it with a jury formed by mountain photographers, as well as expert mountaineers.
Theme/categories: “MOUNTAIN ACTIVITY”: Any image related to sport activities (non-motorized) that take place on mountains. For instance: alpinism, climbing, ski, trekking, speleology, paragliding..
Club Vasco de Camping Elkartea is a non-profit organization with over 4000 associates. It was declared a “Public Interest Entity” by the Basque Government in 2011 and all its management and workforce are based on voluntary work by its members. Following the same principles, the contest is therefore also non- profit and is only made possible thanks to the combined work of all the volunteer members. Following the guidelines that encourage of the organization, participation in the contest is free and open to everyone, regardless of participant age or nationality.
The members of the jury will be photographers with recognized prestige in mountain photography and/or persons related to mountains. The jury will evaluate the works according to: composition, technique, shot opportunity and originality. The Jury will take into consideration de sporting value of the activity. CVCE PHOTO will request the RAW format file of the images that reach the final phase.But also in order to resolve any ongoing doubt or issue, the organization reserves the right to request the RAW format file of the image at any moment during the contest.

Eligibilities
- Open to all amateur or professional photographers of any age or nationality.
Application Process

- Submit your photographs and complete the form as instructed.
Requirements:
- Each participant may submit a maximum of 3 photographs.
- All finalists will be requested RAW format files of their photos.
- Works must be submitted in JPEG format, with at least 1.600 pixels wide (for landscape format) or 1.200 pixels wide (for portrait format), converted to sRGB colour space (profile being embedded in the file).
- Max file size: 2 megabytes.
