Schneider Electric’s international business case challenge (the “Contest”), also called Schneider Go Green, aims at supporting the emergence of innovative solutions to meet future challenges in intelligent energy.
The Contest is organized in three steps, with each step followed by a period of review, assessment and selection who will move onto the next stage in the competition.
- Phase I – Submission of the Initial Application.
- Phase II – Semi-finals, as defined below.
- Phase III – The Final Round will run until the final presentations in June 2021.
The final award will be announced by the jury upon the conclusion of the Final presentations during June 2021. Submit your bold idea related to one of our five segments within energy management!

- Access to Energy: Enable universal access to energy in an environmentally sustainable manner.
- Homes of the Future: Can homes be smarter, more sustainable and incorporate new technologies?
- Plants of the Future: Apply IoT, AI, Machine Learning and more to the industries of the present or future.
- Grids of the Future: Imagine the future of energy management and distribution!
- De[coding] the Future: Envision future approaches to design, engineering and construction of assets and infrastructure.

- Global winners will be awarded a trip to one of the following cities: Boston (USA), London (UK), New Delhi (India), Paris (France), or Shanghai (China) – visit SE’s offices, network with employees and interact with high-level management! The winning team will also be gifted a 1 year subscription to the Coorpacademy platform.
- The global finalists will get the opportunity to pitch their idea in the Global Finals and win the worldwide challenge.
- Regional finalists will receive mentorship from Schneider Electric experts to polish their proposals and make it to the Grand Finale! All regional finalists will also gain special access to e-learning resources by Coorpacademy to better prepare teams for the regional finals.
- Women in Energy Award: One all-female team will advance into the Global Finals and compete for the top prize!
- All participants will be Considered for an HR interview and receive content about Schneider Electric’s benefits, job opportunities and early career events.
Eligibilities
- Only university students eighteen (18) years of age and older at the time of submission of the Initial Application are permitted to submit their proposals.
- Be a Bachelor’s student (at least on 2nd year) or working on Master’s degree
- Studying Business, Computer Sciences, Engineering, Math, Marketing and Innovation
- Team members must be studying in the same Region for the duration of the competition. Being in the same country is highly preferred.
- In line with their Diversity & Inclusion philosophy, at least one team member must be a woman.
- Be proficient in English as the final pitch will must be presented in English.
- Schneider Electric’s permanent employees, customers, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, and their respective employees, officers, directors, representatives, agents, consultants, contractors and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
Application Process
- You must register for the competition as an individual. However, to submit a full application you must also register as a team of two.
- Accepted formats for the initial application:
- Infographic: .ppt or .pdf format, max. 10 slides/pages including 1 cover slide, file size max. 15 MB
- Make sure to clearly state your objectives and original ideas for a solution to any of the world’s energy problems, or one of the Schneider Electric’s four business case challenges. Be creative! Do not submit ideas that are not your own.
- Initial Applications must be submitted online ONLY in English through the Apply Now link. In submitting the application, the applicant accepts these Rules and Conditions (RAC) and the rules governing the submission of the application form available online at gogreen.se.com by each team. Each individual entrant is allowed to enter the Contest as a part of only one team and to submit only one Initial Application.
