The EQUALS in Tech Awards 2027 is an initiative of the EQUALS Global Partnership, a global multi-stakeholder partnership committed to advancing digital gender equality and closing the gender digital divide. The awards invite applications from organizations, institutions, businesses, and initiatives worldwide that use technology to improve opportunities for women and girls.

First launched in 2014, the awards recognize innovative initiatives, programmes, projects, products, and services that help women and girls access, use, and benefit from digital technologies. The 2027 edition introduces three award categories under the partnership’s renewed EQUALS 2.0 framework, focusing on emerging technology, digital skills and leadership, and safe and inclusive digital spaces.
The awards aim to highlight initiatives that deliver meaningful impact, demonstrate innovation, and contribute to a more inclusive digital future. Eligible projects may range from digital skills training and leadership development to technology-based solutions that improve women’s access to emerging technologies or help protect them from online harassment and exclusion.
Successful applicants will receive international recognition through the EQUALS Global Partnership, join a global community of organizations and changemakers, and have opportunities to expand their professional networks. The awards offer a platform for initiatives to showcase their achievements, connect with potential collaborators, and increase the visibility of their work in digital gender equality.

Applicants must nominate a specific initiative, programme, project, product, or service that is still ongoing when the application is submitted. Applications recognizing an organization as a whole, rather than a specific initiative, are not eligible.

Eligibilities
- Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements:
- Be part of an eligible organization, such as an NGO, university, government institution, or business.
- Submit a specific initiative, project, programme, product, or service.
- Ensure the initiative is ongoing at the time of application.
- Demonstrate how the initiative promotes digital gender equality.
- Align the initiative with one of the three award categories.
