Call for APFSD Youth Forum in Bangkok, Thailand 2027!!!

The APFSD Youth Forum 2027 invites young people from across the Asia-Pacific region to participate in an inclusive regional platform focused on sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The hybrid forum will take place from February 18–20, 2027, in Bangkok, Thailand, providing opportunities for young people to engage both in person and online.

The Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) is an annual intergovernmental platform that supports the regional follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Youth Forum aims to ensure that adolescents’ and young people’s voices, experiences, and perspectives are meaningfully included in regional discussions and decision-making on sustainable development.

The 2027 forum will focus on the theme, “Scaling up just transitions to achieving sustainable development, poverty eradication and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals – young people at the forefront.”

Participants will discuss progress, gaps, and challenges related to SDGs 3, 4, 5, 10, 12, 13, 15, and 17. The forum also aims to develop national, sub-regional, and regional Youth Calls to Action and contribute youth perspectives to the Voluntary National Review process and other major international sustainable development platforms.

The forum is organised by the Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW), together with regional co-convenors and youth networks, in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP).

Young people aged 13–30 from the Asia-Pacific region are encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate an understanding of the SDGs, a commitment to human rights-based approaches, and relevant strengths connected to the goals under review. Applications from marginalised and socially excluded communities and hard-to-reach areas will be prioritised to support diversity and inclusion.
