The World Food Forum (WFF) Youth Policy Board (YPB) 2027–2028 invites young leaders from around the world to contribute to global policy discussions and help shape the future of sustainable agrifood systems. An initiative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Food Forum works to transform agrifood systems through youth engagement, science, innovation, and investment.
The Youth Policy Board is an independent body that provides strategic direction to the WFF Youth Assembly. Its members help establish policy priorities, guide youth engagement activities, and ensure that young people’s perspectives are represented in international decision-making processes.

Selected members contribute to regional and thematic initiatives, organize youth consultations, conduct surveys, collect case studies, and develop policy papers, recommendations, and calls to action. They also engage with stakeholders and represent youth perspectives at international policy forums and conferences.
The Board’s work covers important issues affecting agrifood systems, including climate change, biodiversity, nutrition, water management, fisheries and aquaculture, forestry, livestock, and young women’s empowerment. Members work to connect local and regional priorities with global policy discussions, helping translate the experiences and concerns of young people into actionable recommendations.
This opportunity is suited to emerging leaders interested in food security, sustainable development, agriculture, environmental policy, youth participation, and international cooperation. Applicants with relevant experience, policy knowledge, leadership skills, and a commitment to inclusive and sustainable development may find the role particularly valuable.
Through the Youth Policy Board, members can collaborate with young leaders across regions and disciplines while contributing to initiatives that influence agrifood governance and strengthen youth participation in global policy processes.
