Call for the World Bank Government Analytics Fellowship 2027 is open now!!!

The World Bank Government Analytics Fellowship 2027 is a professional development programme designed to strengthen public administration through data-driven decision-making. The fellowship helps government officials unlock the potential of underutilized administrative data to improve institutional performance, enhance operational efficiency, and address practical challenges within government organizations.

The programme builds on the Government Analytics Handbook and provides participants with training, technical guidance, and expert support to develop and implement a Government Analytics project relevant to their institutions. Fellows learn how to use existing government data and analytical methods to identify administrative challenges, generate actionable insights, and develop evidence-based solutions that can improve public-sector functioning.

The 2027 cohort offers three participation tracks: an online-only track featuring self-paced virtual learning, an immersive in-person track for selected participants undertaking an intensive six-month programme, and regional hub opportunities offering more localized learning experiences. Participants benefit from engagement with experts from the World Bank and academic partners, opportunities to strengthen their analytical and problem-solving skills, and access to an international network of public servants, researchers, academics, and data professionals.

The immersive in-person track includes approximately two weeks of training and collaboration in Washington, D.C., in March 2027. Participants in this track develop their projects with expert guidance and engage with World Bank staff and fellow government practitioners. Travel, accommodation, and subsistence expenses for the Washington, D.C., component are covered by the World Bank for eligible participants from official development assistance (ODA)-eligible countries, subject to the programme’s applicable arrangements.
