The scholarship provides a unique opportunity for talented students from around the world to pursue their first-entry undergraduate studies at one of Canada’s leading universities. Each year, approximately 37 students are selected as Pearson Scholars and receive comprehensive financial support for four years of study. The scholarship covers tuition fees, books, incidental fees, and full residence support, allowing recipients to focus entirely on their academic journey and personal development. The program is designed for international students who are completing secondary school or have recently graduated and are preparing to begin undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto. To apply, students must first be nominated by their high school, apply for an undergraduate program at the University of Toronto, and then complete the separate Pearson Scholarship application after receiving their nomination.
The scholarship is available only for first-entry undergraduate programs at the University of Toronto and cannot be transferred to another institution. Pearson Scholars become part of a global community of talented students who contribute through leadership, innovation, and academic excellence.
