Call for Applications of the Center for Inclusive Policy (CIP) Fellowship Program 2026!!

The Center for Inclusive Policy (CIP) is a 12-month online fellowship designed to empower emerging researchers with disabilities from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).  The fellowship aims to strengthen participants’ research capacity, social policy knowledge, and leadership skills while connecting them to a global network of disability advocates, researchers, and policymakers. The program is intended for individuals who have some research experience and are looking to develop further their expertise rather than established senior researchers.

Throughout the fellowship, participants will engage in an online curriculum led by internationally recognized researchers, receive one-on-one mentorship, and work on research projects focused on disability rights and inclusive public policy. Fellows are encouraged to design research rooted in their local contexts, generating evidence that reflects lived experiences and contributes to more inclusive policymaking. The program also promotes cross-country and cross-regional collaboration, enabling fellows to exchange knowledge and participate in global conversations on disability inclusion and the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).

The Center for Inclusive Policy also offers opportunities to contribute to its ongoing research initiatives, helping participants expand their professional networks and gain practical experience in policy-oriented research. By combining financial assistance, mentorship, and international collaboration, the fellowship equips early-career researchers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to advance disability-inclusive policies within their own countries and beyond.
