Call for VentureWell’s Aspire Climatetech Program 2026 is open now!!!
Aspire Climatetech is a five-week, in-depth, hybrid program that prepares startups for investor engagement. Investor-mentors work one-on-one with startups to simulate due diligence conversations and integrate feedback into deal room materials in real time. This program aims to prepare startups to raise equity investment. This is not just a basic training course; it is an intensive program where founders work directly with real-world investors to stress-test their business models and fundraising strategies.

The program focuses heavily on Investor Engagement. Unlike other accelerators that focus only on a short pitch, Aspire prepares startups for the deep “due diligence” process that investors perform before putting money into a company. Founders get the chance to work with Investor-Mentors from firms like Course Investments and the Chemical Angel Network. These mentors act as mock lead investors, helping startups find and fix gaps in their business plans before they meet with real venture capitalists.
A key part of the journey involves mastering Venture Math. Participants learn the technical side of fundraising, such as understanding cap tables, negotiating term sheets, and managing corporate governance through simulated board meetings. This helps technical founders transition from being inventors to becoming confident CEOs who can speak the language of professional investors. The program is a five-week hybrid experience. It starts with virtual sessions and ends with a mandatory two-day in-person workshop in Boston, Massachusetts. Being in Boston allows startups to connect with a massive network of climate innovators and partners like Greentown Labs and The Lemelson Foundation.

Since it began in 2015, the Aspire model has been highly successful. Its alumni have raised over $601 million in funding to grow their businesses. For any climatetech startup ready to move from the lab to the global market, Aspire Climatetech provides the map and the connections needed to secure the capital for their environmental solutions.
The program is especially valuable because it focuses on the “Valley of Death,” the difficult stage where many science startups struggle to move from a working prototype to a commercial product. By providing access to high-level mentorship and a community of like-minded founders, Aspire helps entrepreneurs navigate the complex regulatory and technical hurdles unique to the climatetech industry. It is a space where technical innovation meets business discipline, ensuring that great ideas don’t stay trapped in a lab but actually reach the people and industries that need them.
Beyond the formal training, the networking opportunities within the VentureWell ecosystem are immense. Participants become part of an elite group of alumni who continue to support each other long after the program ends. With a focus on long-term growth and sustainability, Aspire Climatetech ensures that startups are not just chasing a one-time grant but are building a scalable company capable of attracting multimillion-dollar investments to fight climate change on a global scale.
