Call for HP Cambridge Partnership for Education EdTech Fellowship 2026 is open now!!

The HP Cambridge Partnership for Education EdTech Fellowship is a five-month study programme designed to equip education decision-makers across the Middle East and North Africa with the expertise to drive meaningful digital transformation in national education systems. Structured as a hybrid learning experience, the Fellowship blends online modules with a one-week residential immersion at the University of Cambridge, allowing participants to engage directly with global educators, researchers, and policymakers. The programme centres on helping leaders understand how technology — including emerging tools such as artificial intelligence — can be purposefully integrated into teaching, learning, curriculum, and assessment at scale.

The Fellowship is a finalist in the prestigious Bett Awards 2026, for the third year in a row –this is an international hallmark of excellence in educational technology. This Fellowship brings MENA leaders into a global network of innovators, combining Cambridge’s leadership in education with regional collaboration to drive meaningful digital transformation. Their alumni members’ projects have already reached over 6.5 million teachers and students. During the programme, Fellows will meet in Cambridge, UK for a five-day residential academy in June/July 2026. During fellows stay in Cambridge, they will tackle EdTech challenges specific to their education system, working with experts to develop a prototype solution.

The Fellowship’s learning journey equips participants to understand how technology can transform education systems, design effective and evidence-based EdTech policies. The curriculum blends global best practice with regional priorities such as future skills, inclusion and digital transformation.

The course requires a commitment of six hours a week: a two-hour tutor-led session per week, scheduled based on regional time zones and four hours of independent learning per week. Fellows participate in expert-led classes, develop an applied national EdTech project, receive personalized coaching, and learn collaboratively through peer discussions.

Eligibilities

The Fellowship is intended for individuals in senior-level (or equivalent) leadership or policy roles who shape or influence education systems.

  • Open to professionals working within K–12 education systems in any country across the Middle East or North Africa
  • Senior policymakers, civil servants, or advisers in ministries of education — especially those responsible for digital transformation, curriculum innovation, or national/regional education strategy.
  • Leaders of public or non-profit organisations working in education: e.g., organisations involved in education delivery, teacher training, curriculum development, digital-learning infrastructure or EdTech integration.
  • Individuals committed to using technology to reform education systems broadly, with a capacity for cross-sector collaboration (government, private sector, civil society) — and readiness to work at system-level (not only individual schools).
  • Fluent in English, since the course material and interactions are conducted in English

Application Process

  • The application is done online via the official Fellowship website. The application includes the following
    sections:

    • professional background
    • scope of your current role
    • EdTech experience
    • regional perspective
    • motivation for applying.
  • Option to respond to application questions via text or upload short video(s), whichever better conveys your ideas and experience.
  • You will need to provide the name of a senior leader, such as a government official or director in your organisation, who supports your participation. A formal letter of recommendation is required only for
    selected Fellows and a template will be provided.
  • Programme fee is £25,000 — but the Fellowship offers full or partial scholarships for selected applicants. Applicants need to indicate whether they can cover part/all of the fee, and whether they have access to travel funding for the residential week in Cambridge.
