The United Nations University (UNU) Conflict Prevention and Sustaining Peace Global Fellow Internship is an excellent opportunity. Hosted at the UNU Centre for Policy Research (UNU-CPR) in New York, this six-month internship provides research, policy, and project support within the Conflict Prevention and Sustaining Peace Pillar. The program offers an enriching platform for young professionals eager to gain practical insights into conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and international policymaking.

Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Conflict Prevention and Sustaining Peace Pillar head, the Global Fellow will conduct research, analysis, and other project support work. This includes contributing to ongoing projects related to conflict in borderlands, peace operations, sanctions, peacebuilding efforts aimed at strengthening state institutions, General Assembly engagement on peace and security, Security Council and UN reform, and counter-smuggling, trafficking, and organized crime initiatives. Research support may include a combination of qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. The Fellow will also assist with finalizing reports, promoting them, and other communication tasks, as well as supporting events and research briefings. Additionally, they will liaise with other researchers, authors, and organizations as necessary, and perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor.
