curaJOY’s 2025 Summer Impact Fellowship is a paid, seven-week program where high school juniors and seniors, as well as college students, build AI tools and datasets that combat cyberbullying and self-harm online.

Fellows create the first youth-annotated “online-harm + emotion” dataset (15k multi-platform posts) and open-source code that researchers and schools can use to make the internet safer for teens.

  • Two tracks: Tech Cohort (Python/React/AWS) or Impact Cohort (research, social campaigns).
  • Time commitment: ~20 hrs/week, hybrid—join from anywhere.
