Job Responsibilities:
- Directly contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our SaaS platform, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability through hands-on coding and technical work.
- Lead and mentor engineers, promoting their career growth and ensuring alignment with personal and company objectives, while actively participating in coding and technical tasks.
- Maintain a balance between managerial responsibilities and hands-on technical contributions, ensuring active involvement in coding, design reviews, and architectural decisions.
- Engage in effective dialogue with Product teams, providing insight into technical solutions and their trade-offs, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence within the team, ensuring services and components are optimised and reliable, through both leadership and direct technical contributions.
- Drive team alignment, clarity, and results, especially in projects with unclear scopes, by setting clear expectations, providing consistent feedback, and actively participating in technical solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing guidance, and support to ensure continuous improvement and effective problem-solving, while also contributing directly to technical initiatives.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate a cohesive and effective working environment, balancing managerial duties with active technical engagement.

Eligibilities
Job Requirements:
Knowledge and Experience
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node, and Python, with a strong technical background in software development.
- Proven experience in leading and managing high-performing engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD practices, Docker, and container/service orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Experience with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies.
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure management, distributed stream processing, and large-scale web applications.
- Experience with agile delivery workflows and modern software quality techniques like TDD/BDD.
- Experience in microservice architecture and a strong understanding of its implications and challenges.
- Exceptional English communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to analyse and articulate the trade-offs of technical solutions.
- Strong customer empathy and effectiveness in handling unclear project scopes, driving alignment, and delivering results with various stakeholders.
- A commitment to technical leadership, continuous learning, and fostering a growth mindset within the team.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or engineering preferred) or equivalent work experience
