Modhumoti Bank Limited is Hiring CFO- Chief Financial Officer (VP- EVP) 2023 in Dhaka

Job Responsibilities:

  • To participate in the strategic planning process, to lead the budgeting and forecasting of the Bank’s performance and to build a strong foundation by establishing financial discipline and ensuring accountability through follow-up & monitoring of performance and to recommend corrective measures for variance.
  • To review the institution’s financial positions/conditions, establish a powerful and effective financial system and recommend viable alternatives for cost effective operation.
  • Setting the goal for the finance team in line with the organization’s vision, mission and strategy to continuously strengthen the financial management along with the continuous change of market and regulatory landscape.
  • To monitor the performance of the bank as a whole and prepare, present and interpret financial reports to the Management, Board of Directors and Shareholders to direct and supervise accurate and timely preparation of Bank’s financial statements, Annual Report and other reports & MIS to regulators & Internal Stakeholders.
  • VAT and Tax management as per regulatory guideline and laws, conduct proactive VAT and Tax planning to ensure minimization of Income tax liabilities of the company and appraise the management accordingly.
  • To plan, direct and coordinate the implementation of effective accounting and financial administration policies, procedures and reports to ensure meticulous compliance of Bank’s financial policy and the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
  • To meet the requirements of the regulatory authorities (Bangladesh bank & others) regarding internal control, compliance and internal audit; provide suitable directions and leadership to the audit and inspection unit, monitoring unit and compliance unit; statutory audit (CA firms) and Bangladesh Bank inspection.
  • To maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
  • To oversee asset liability management and fund management program for the Bank.
  • To monitor all legal issues relating to financial matters, Tax, VAT etc.
  • Report to competent authority periodically with assurance that risk-based audit concept is being implemented effectively and recommend corrective measures (if needed) in order to establish an effective internal control system within the Bank which will ultimately ensure that Bank’s asset & liabilities and other factors are free from risks to a great extent.
  • To oversee employee benefit plans in accordance with relevant laws and international accounting standards to ensure adequacy of funded facilities as well as cost effectiveness.
  • Any other work / responsibility as and when assigned by the Management of the Bank.

Modhumoti Bank Limited is a private limited commercial bank in Bangladesh. The bank was established in 2013. Md Shafiul Azam is the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank. Humayun Kabir is the chairperson and Sheikh Salahuddin Jewel is the Vice Chairman of the Bank. Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh is a director of the Bank.

Eligibilities

Job Requirements:

Educational Requirements

  • CA / CMA / CFA or Equivalent Professional Degree; or MBM / MBA or Masters in Accounting, Finance, Banking and Economics with no 3rd class in whole academic record.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 12-20 years’ practical experience in a reputed commercial Bank / major financial institution, with at least 03 (three) years’ experience in Accounting or Tax Management related activities of a Bank.However, candidates with extra ordinary educational/ professional qualification may apply with less experience.

Additional Requirment

  • At least 03 (three) years’ experience in Accounting or Tax Management related activities of a Bank.
  • A candidate bearing professional qualification of Chartered Accountancy (FCA) or equivalent degree will be preferable.
  • Should have knowledge in Corporate Governance and Corporate Affairs in accordance with applicable laws / regulations in Bangladesh.
  • Should be knowledgeable in International Financial Reporting Standards, International Accounting Standards, The Companies Act, The Banking Companies Act, Income Tax Ordinance, VAT Act, Laws, regulations & guidelines of Bangladesh Bank and Bangladesh Securities & exchange Commission and other related laws.
  • Must have good expertise on Microsoft Office as well as experience of handling core banking system and related business intelligence.
  • Unquestioned commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making.
  • Well conversant with modern payment and collection systems.
