Edotco Group is hiring Specialist, Legal 2022 in Dhaka
Job Purpose:
- To provide legal advisory and contracts preparation services, pertaining to corporate matters and related business activities
- Ensure statutory compliance of in-country legal rules, regulations, guidelines & circulars of the respective Regulators
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide legal advice and support to NTC management
- Provide legal support services regarding contractual activities, including drafting, vetting, reviewing contracts, conduct negotiations and completion of contractual agreements or arrangements
- Provide advice on general corporate agreements such as memorandum of understanding, non-disclosure agreements, shareholder agreements, shares sales & purchase agreements, joint-venture and alliance (bilateral and multilateral) agreements
- Coordinate and manage proper Intellectual Property protection on the company’s intellectual work
- Advise and assist in corporate exercises such as M&As
- Liaise & coordinate with external solicitors, in respect of all legal issues of the NTC e.g., external opinions, vetting contracts, managing industrial relations and dispute matters
- Execute & assist in preventive legal strategies, policies, and compliance programmes
- Synchronize with different Departments and provide opinions, to resolve different legal issues
- Conduct Enquiry Meetings and prepare Enquiry Reports and other documentation, as part of the Disciplinary Process
- Represent the company in different legal proceedings before different courts of Bangladesh

Eligibilities
Qualification & Experience:
- LL. B (Hons), LL.M, with work experience of at least 10 years in corporate legal matters, contracts, secretarial and/or litigation (Barrister or Attorney is preferred)
- Experience in Court matters is preferable. Membership of the High Court Bar is preferred
- Telecommunications or regulated industry legal experience will be treated as an added advantage
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong drafting and vetting skills
- Knowledge in Bangladesh Telecom Act, BTRC Policies, regulations & directives
- Analyzing and Advising on Legal Risk Management
- Preservation & Maintenance of Legal documents
