BRAC is looking for Skills Coordinator; Skills Development Progarmme (Contractual), 2023 in Cox’s Bazar

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support for skills development interventions in Cox’s Bazar targeting youth and women in both Rohingya refugee (Component I) and host communities (Component II).
  • Develop related modules and materials that will support vulnerable youths from host and local communities engaged in diversified vocational skills interventions.
  • Ensure technical coordination of project performance and project operations with all stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support and supervision to local partner organisations working with BRAC on skills development.
  • Develop competency standards based on demand and coordinate with government authority to vet the materials.
  • Track and disseminate project learning among the stakeholders, and use the knowledge as advocacy agenda.
  • Coordinate and monitor skills development interventions and activities to ensure quality by following respective skills development framework.
  • Support capturing the outcome and impact of skills development activities and provide timely feedback to achieve the desired goal.
  • Carry out training and develop the capacity of BRAC staff and partner staff to implement a quality project.
  • Maintain liaison and coordination with relevant government departments/ local govt. institutions at divisional, district and Upazilla levels, and with NGOs, CSOs, relevant BRAC programmes and other stakeholders according to the requirement.
  • Prepare report and other documents according to donor and management requirements.
  • Extend support to financial operations, procurement, accounting and administrative works relevant to the project.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.

Eligibilities

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sound knowledge of development of skills training modules and materials.
  • Knowledge of Rohingya refugee-related humanitarian crisis in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char.
  • Knowledge of competency standards for various skills training.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in Bangla and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Capacity to work independently in the field with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to maintain high morale with integrity and honesty.
  • Strong team playing attitude to support colleagues and extended communities across the organisation.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools, and willingness to manage multiple assignments and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time.
  • Creativity; result focus; adaptability.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s in Social Science/ Economics or any relevant subject from any recognised university/ institution.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 04 years’ experience in related field.
