BRAC is looking for Manager, Sericulture (BRAC Sericulture Enterprise) 2025 in Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operations of the silkworm egg production center and sericulture farms, including mulberry cultivation, silkworm rearing, and cocoon harvesting, ensuring productivity and sustainability.
- Manage silk reeling, spinning, and weaving centers, driving quality improvements to meet industry standards.
- Coordinate activities across the silk value chain to maintain operational integrity and efficiency.
- Ensure a steady supply of high-quality raw materials (cocoons and raw silk) for continuous production.
- Lead staff development in technical skills, management, and communication to build a capable, cohesive team.
- Develop and execute annual budgets and business plans; manage finances with a focus on cost control and profitability.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Uphold and promote safeguarding standards; create a safe work environment, support team awareness, and ensure proper incident reporting.

Eligibilities
Job Requirements:
- Age, academic credentials, and professional experience requirements may be waived for candidates demonstrating extraordinary qualifications and a proven record of excellence
- In-depth knowledge of sericulture project management, silk and silk goods production processes, supply chain dynamics within the sericulture industry, and proficiency in silk marketing, sales strategy, financial oversight, and holistic business operations
- Demonstrated excellence in advanced communication, critical analysis, and sound decision-making
- Proven ability to coach and develop employees, nurture high-performance teams, and execute decisions with precision
- Strong self-awareness and the capacity to navigate ambiguity, exceptional relationship-building skills, forward-thinking orientation, and mastery of essential functional competencies
- Expertise in strategic planning, fiscal budgeting, talent motivation, people management, and leading transformative change, distinguished leadership presence and a reputation for managerial excellence
- High resilience and the capability to achieve results in high-stakes, deadline-driven environments
Education:
- The candidate must hold an M.Sc./ MS in Agriculture/ Agronomy/ Crop Botany/ Entomology/ Plant pathology / Genetics & plant breeding/Agricultural Chemistry/ Agriculture Economics/ Agriculture Extension with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or the equivalent of a second class / division, or comparable academic standing in all examinations from a recognized university.
- An MBA qualification will be considered an added advantage.
