Scholastica Photography & Media Club presents Bangabandhu Scholastica Interschool Festival 2020

Scholastica Photography & Media Club is going to organize Bangabandhu Scholastica Interschool Festival 2020 in Dhaka.

Competition Details:
1. Photography Exhibition
Theme: Open Theme
Photographs with the theme “Unity” and “Patriotism” will be given more emphasis.
Photo Series
-Photo series means a series of photographs that are made to create a series of emotions in the viewer.
-All the photos should be coherent that shares a common theme.

Universal:
• A participant can submit in both colour and Black & White. Digital Photo Composite or Photo Manipulations are allowed. All the photos and elements must be taken or created by the photographer (Proof of capture might be required if necessary)
• No Watermark or Border is allowed.
• Maximum 10 photos per participant

2. Flim Show

• Participant must work himself or herself to make the film
• Films must be shoot and edit within the time limit – Minimum 1 minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes.
• Students have to enter in this competition as a Group. Students don’t necessarily have to be from the same school to be in a group
• A proper credit line must be included.
• Each team can submit ONLY ONE film
• Length of each video must not exceed 10 minutes including the tag line and credit.
• Films with objectionable footage are not eligible.
• Films containing any explicit scenes or scenes relating to any political issues are discouraged.
• Films previously submitted to any film festival are eligible.
• Students can use any device according to their will to shoot and edit
• Minimum requirement of video resolution is 720P (HD)
• Plagiarism in any manner is strictly prohibited. Anyone caught for this will be disqualified and further action will be taken according to the committee decision.
• Each short film will be shown on the digital screen during the event and will be published on our social media page and website.
• The film has to be real-life footage. Animation films are not eligible for this competition.

3. Collage Making Contest
THEME – “One man Uniting the Nation”
Time: 1hour
Rules
1. A team comprising two students from the junior section will represent each school.
2. Maximum 5 teams from each institution
3. The participants will be required to make a collage, on the spot on the theme mentioned.
4. Use of scissors and blade is not permitted.
5. The participants will be provided with a chart paper of 53 X 67 cm.
6. All participating teams should bring their own material. List of material should be mailed to the organisers and prior permission is needed
7. A three-dimensional effect in the presentation would fetch bonus marks.
8. The collage should be self-expressive as captions and titles are not allowed.

4. The rhythm of Life(Dance Competition)
THEME – Patriotism
Time: 2 minutes 30 seconds
Rules
• A team comprising 6 members will participate in the event.
• Maximum 2 teams from each institution. Prior permission from the organisers should be taken if the institution wishes to send more than 2 teams.
• Teams are free to use suitable costumes for their presentation.
• Use of songs and narration will not be allowed.
• The recorded music for the performance should be submitted at the time of registration.
• Use of Props is not allowed.
• In case the team wishes to perform on live music, it should bring its own musical instruments.
• Songs should be mailed to us and the participant should bring it on Pendrive on the event day.

5. Nations Inspiration (Powerpoint Presentation )
THEME –One man Uniting the Nation
Time: 2 minutes
• Two participants will participate in the event.
• Each team will get two minutes to present a paper on the theme mentioned above.
• The name of the country chosen by the participant and the synopsis of the paper(highlighting the problems, peaceful solutions,specific peaceful measures and programmes taken up by the country chosen and other relevant details) should be emailed to the organizers by 20th November, 2019. The shortlisted participants will be informed via email by 1st December 2019.
• The paper presentation should be supported by a powerpoint presentation( to be submitted at the time of registration.)

6. Mujib 100 years, Unity and Peace
A competitive team event, where the entire team of the institution including the team leaders is to participate in the event. Details regarding this event contest will not be disclosed before. Each team will be given aboard, and they need to decorate it with the theme provided. Materials like glue, scissors, colour papers, poster colour will be given in a single place and they have to take items necessary in a single time. 2 members from each team will come forward and take their necessary stationaries. Then for the next 45 minute, the whole team together need to decorate the board. No more stationaries will be provided after the first go. And after the task is completed. The whole team along with the leaders need to give an interview regarding the board they decorated.
