7th DCSC National Science Exposition 2020 in Dhaka

Dhaka College Science Club (DCSC) is back again with their very own, National Science Exposition, signature event. This time they will surpass the benchmark they set in the past years.

Here is the list of events they will be having in 7th DCSC National Science Exposition 2020:

1. Project Display:
There will be two groups in this competition.
i) Secondary (VI-X)
ii) Higher Secondary (XI-XII)

This event will be categorized into three segments.
i) Mechanical Project
ii) Non-Mechanical Project
iii) IT Project

2. Olympiads :
Dhaka College Science Club is giving away the biggest opportunity to all the participants to show and prove their expertise in science and prove their proficiency. We are talking about OLYMPIADS!

There will be olympiad on five different criteria:
i) Math
ii) Physics
iii) Biology
iv) Chemistry
v) Astronomy

There will be three groups in this competition.
i) Primary (VI-VIII)
ii) Secondary (IX-X)
iii) Higher Secondary (XI-XII)

3. Sudoku Contest:
There will be two groups in this competition:
i) Secondary (VIII-X)
ii) Higher Secondary (XI-XII)

4. IQ Test:
There will be two groups in this competition-
i) Secondary (VIII-X)
ii) Higher Secondary (XI-XII)

5. Robot Exhibition

6. Wall Magazine:
There will be two groups in this competition:
i) Secondary (VIII-X)
ii) Higher Secondary (XI-XII)

Registration Procedure for Wall Magazine :
Please contact your college authorities to register for the Exhibition through the invitation letter that has been sent to your respective institutions.
Or, you can also register through an online registration link which will be posted within a short period.

7. Science Fiction Story Writing Competition:
There will be two groups in this competition:
i) Secondary (VIII-X)
ii) Higher Secondary (XI-XII)
ii) As the topic says, the story must have direct/indirect affiliation to Science.
iii) The story should not cross 2500 words.
iv) Accepted languages for the Science Fiction Story Writing are Bangla and English.
v) Any kind of plagiarism will result in instant disqualification.
vi) It is open to all.

8. Extempore Speech:
There will be two groups in this competition-
i) Secondary (VIII-X)
ii) Higher Secondary (XI-XII)

9. Rubik’s Cube:
There will be two groups in this competition-
i) Secondary (VIII-X)
ii) Higher Secondary (XI-XII)

10. Chess Competition:

Rules and Regulations:
i) The competition will follow the Rapid Chess format.
ii) Participants need to take part as individuals. Authority will provide all the necessary equipment.
iii) Each match will consist of 10 minutes.
iv) Any changes or decisions made by the authority will be final.
v) Found cheating during the match will result in disqualification.

11. Team-Based Quiz:

There will be three groups in this competition
i) Secondary (VI-X)
ii) Higher Secondary (XI-XII)
iii) University (1st-4th year)

12. Mix-Up Quiz:

Guidelines:
i) Participants will have to attend the preliminary written round.
ii) Top 18 participants based on their marks will qualify for the stage round.
iii) The team mix-ups will be done by the authority in charge.
v) Spot registration will be available but online registration is highly appreciated.

13. Solo Quiz:
There will be two groups in this competition-
i) Secondary (VIII-X)
ii) Higher Secondary (XI-XII)

14. Mega Quiz:

Rules And Guidelines:
i) Each team should be consisting of 3-5 members.
ii) Spot registration will be available. Each team will need to pay a registration fee of 500/- taka. And they have to pay the amount on the spot.
iii) There is no institutional barrier. School, College, and University students can make their teams according to their choice.
iv) The questions will be selected by the quizmaster and only he will choose the topics.
v) It will be an interactive written quiz and answer sheet will be provided by the authority.
vi) If any member of a team is found googling during the competition will result in disqualification of the whole team.

15. Criminal Case Solving Competition:

Participants must bring their own equipment.

16. Chess Puzzle:

Time Duration: 25 minutes.

17. EDUCATIONAL MEMECON:

Dhaka College Science Club proudly brings you the first-ever Educational Memecon in the history of Dhaka College and Bangladesh. Yes, you have heard it right. They present you the first-ever Educational Memecon where all of you aspiring memers will have to make memes based on mostly your textual knowledge using intellectual references.
