IJM is looking for National Consultant – Social Worker (Lead Aftercare) 2025 in Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide post-release services to trafficking victims and ensure reintegration.
- Coordinate with the Casework team for trauma-informed case management.
- Ensure beneficiaries are protected and empowered through casework.
- Train partners on psycho-social care to reduce re-victimization.
- Build relationships with government shelters and partners to improve welfare policies.
- Identify gaps in services and develop strategies to address them.
- Conduct research on shelter home standards and rehabilitation programs.
- Support Casework team in implementing service improvement strategies.
- Represent IJM in meetings with government and stakeholders.
- Establish and manage partnerships with community-based organizations.
- Assist in training development and organization of workshops on human trafficking.
- Ensure proper documentation of services and timely reporting.
- Gather data from government and partners to meet goals.
- Track aftercare meetings and progress towards goals.

Eligibilities
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
- 2-4 years working with abuse victims or children, coordinating with social service providers.
- Experience in care and support programs for children and youth.
- Counselling experience preferred.
Technical Competencies:
- Strong understanding of trauma and trauma-informed approaches.
- Proficient in Bangla/Bengali and English (both written and oral).
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent communication, analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
Critical Qualities:
- Self-starter with initiative and strong prioritization.
- Strong interpersonal skills and self-awareness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Flexible, collaborative, and eager to support others.
