Banglalink is looking for Head of Digital Platform Engineering 2023 in Dhaka
Job Responsibilities:
- Create the vision and guide a team of engineers to build & support Banglalink Digital Platforms. An end-to-end technical leader who brings considerable experience designing and implementing different digital platforms/ solutions using a broad range of technologies.
- Ensure that Banglalink Digital architecture principles and engineering practices are adhered to and that there is direction and alignment for each Digital product. Be on the lookout for significant technology impediments and scalability issues that need attention.
- Driving architecture selection, software design, execution, and operations at the solution level.
- Translates business domain understanding and context to technical capabilities for technical architects and development teams
- Evaluates potential software solutions, including off-the-shelf and open-source components, and the system architecture to ensure that they meet business requirements.
- Work hand in hand with Banglalink Network and IT architects to ensure alignment with the architecture guidelines; Work hand in hand with product management to take products from concept to reality driving pilots with customers
- Remain actively involved through all aspects of the product development lifecycle in collaboration with the domain Product Managers and other cross-functional teams
- Drive continuous improvement to improve incubation planning and delivery capabilities
- Measure success KPIs and report on tracks and team performance and business impact.
- Follow agile methodologies and program practices in the product development lifecycle and focus on team productivity improvements using the right tools and processes.
- Drives an Agile delivery culture, advocating speed and agility, and acting as a change agent for Agile adoption
- Build a strong Agile DevOps team, by coaching and developing Engineers, QA, and TPM as well as top technical talent, such as Digital Ninjas.
- Identify, attract, hire, develop and retain technical talent from Bangladesh & Cross borders.
- Empower teams to do their best work at Banglalink.

Eligibilities
Academic Qualification:
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science & Engineering; PMP & CSM Certification is preferable.
Job Experience Required:
- 8~10+ years of Tech Leadership experience with demonstrated success in building, shaping, and leading a cross-functional Engineering function or business unit at scale
Required Capabilities:
- Good experience and knowledge of operating in a DevOps environment
- Good experience and knowledge of operating with Agile processes
- Demonstrated experience leading a team of at least 30+ engineers spread across multiple locations and time zones.
- Advanced understanding of the telecommunication industry, market, and environment
- Advanced understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle model;
- Advanced understanding of Agile principles and methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) applicable to digital product development;
- Good technical knowledge and experience in building digital products (e.g. mobile and web apps), Strong Micros-service & DevOps Knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of DevOps processes and tools – continuous integration(CI), continuous deployment(CD), cloud (AWS, GCP), containerization, infrastructure-as-code;
- Sound project management knowledge and experience;
- Sound knowledge of business strategy skills to build the solutions necessary to ask the right questions and find the right answers
