The previous years have been so successful that the Danish Embassy is launching its Shadow Ambassador program for the third time now. This year Danish Embassy will celebrate International Women’s Day 2019 on March 6, 2019 with the new Shadow Ambassador.
Though it is 2019, women and girls all over the world continue to fight for their basic rights. Denmark is committed to the Human Rights agenda. One core value is no discrimination based on gender – especially in ensuring the inclusive participation and equal opportunities for women and girls. These values are also cornerstones of the Sustainable Development Goals. Hence, this year’s Shadow Ambassador program will have a special focus on gender equality. Danish Embassy Bangladesh invites applications from both men and women.

Eligibilities
The Embassy will choose one talented youth (under the age of 30; a man or woman) who has demonstrated commitment to the cause of gender equality to shadow H.E. Winnie Petersen, Danish Ambassador to Bangladesh, for one day.
