Centre for Genocide Studies (CGS), the University of Dhaka with a generous endowment from renowned business enterprise SQUARE Group, will be offering the CGS- SQUARE Fellowship for a session of 2017 in three categories: Ph.D. Research, Senior Fellow, and Junior Fellow.
The fellowship will be awarded primarily to Bangladeshi applicants who demonstrate outstanding potentials and can contribute in such areas as genocide, a war crime, crime against humanity, human rights, ethnic and communal violence and other related themes.
The application deadline for the CGS-SQUARE Fellowship 2017 is 30 July 2018.

Eligibilities
- Eligibility requirements for PhD Research
• Fellowship in this criterion will cover fieldwork only.
• The individual ought to be a current PhD student (anywhere in the world).
• The subject of the research must be in the areas mentioned above. - Eligibility Requirements for Senior Fellow
• Applicants must be 40 years or above.
• Individuals must have completed their PhDs (applicants who recently submitted their PhD dissertation but are yet to get the degree will not be considered).
• Candidate must have demonstrated outstanding scholastic achievement and ability to complete the project successfully.
• The proposal ought to be relevant to areas mentioned above. - Eligibility requirements for Junior Fellow
• Individual applicants must be below 40 years.
• Applicants should ideally have a Master’s degree in any discipline from a reputed university. But priority would be given to graduates from International Relations, Political Science, Peace and Conflict Studies, Law, History, Sociology, Anthropology, Women and Gender Studies, Literature, Psychology and other disciplines related to issues of genocide and mass violence.
• Individuals should be able to demonstrate excellent track record.
• The proposal ought to be relevant to areas mentioned above.
