They are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of Country Compliance Officer, Regulatory Compliance in Compliance.
In this role, you will:
– Ensure effective implementation of policies of Regulatory Compliance
– Ensure that compliance risks on the Bank’s businesses are identified and mitigated
– Assist to update Staff Dealing Principles
– Ensures products, services and customer database are in compliant with local and Group policies
– Nourishe a sound compliance culture and assist Line Manager to build rapport with regulators
– Accomplish coordination of all routine or nonroutine regulatory inspections and queries and assist to conduct visits
– Maintains HSBC internal control standards, implements and observes Group RC Policy and maintains awareness and minimises the likelihood of it occurring
– Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group and Local Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimise the likelihood of it occurring
– Ensure implementation of compliance with all Group and local regulatory Circulars/ Returns/ Reports.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
– Bachelor from a public/private university preferably from Business background
– Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and time management skill; ability to learn quickly and to work within tight time frame
– Significant exposure will be given preference
– Good command in MS Office packages, especially in MS Excel
– Basic knowledge on Central Bank’s guidelines/circulars and internal control requirements.
