World Food Programme is looking for Supply Chain Officer (Capacity Support to Directorate of Primary Education), SC8 2025 in Dhaka.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Director at DPE in preparing food procurement plans and managing procurement activities (tenders, evaluations, contracts) following government procedures.
  • Support PIU in developing standard operating procedures for local food procurement and ensuring food safety.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to ensure procurement, FSQ, and food deliveries follow procedures, providing guidance and capacity building.
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Collect data and help prepare timely, accurate procurement reports for informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with DPE’s Procurement Division to align activities with broader programs and ensure coherent food assistance.
  • Assist in training key officials at national and local levels on strategic food procurement and service delivery.
  • Support PIU officials by addressing queries and providing analysis.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.

Eligibilities

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, Logistics, Social Science, or a related field.
  • 5 years of total experience, including at least 3 years in supporting supply chain strategy, implementation, or supply chain information systems.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and Bangla.
