ShopUp is looking for Legal and Compliance Expert 2022 in Dhaka
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to all business units of the Company through interpretation, drafting, advice, negotiation, research and analysis of the legal and regulatory issues.
- Prepare and review agreements, legal documents and letters governing the commercial relationship between the Company and third parties.
- Monitor new legislation/amendments to existing legislation to determine their relevance to the Company’s operations and ensure the correct implementation of relevant provisions by the Company.
- Manage litigation of the Company (including general commercial, consumer, credit, labour, company matters, writ petitions, etc.)
- Actively participate in out-of-court settlement of disputes.
- Provide legal advice and opinion to the Company.
- Co-ordinate and work with external legal counsel.
- Responsible for protecting the Company’s intellectual properties.
- Responsible for the compliance of the Company with the relevant laws and regulations.
- Ensuring Legal Reporting to the holding company.
- Arrange training for the employees of the Company to ensure that the Company complies with local laws and Policies & Procedures.
- Implement the Policy & Procedures of the Legal & Compliance Department.
- Monitoring and facilitating updates of License and Permits of the Company.

Eligibilities
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law from any reputed institution
Experience:
- 5-6 years of relevant experience in any law firm or corporate organization
- Candidates capable of drafting documents in Bengali will be given priority
