IOM is looking for an IT Assistant 2020 in Cox’s Bazar.
Under the overall supervision of Resource Management Officer and direct supervision of National ICT Coordinator. The incumbent will be responsible for maintenance of the information technology equipment and will provide general advice as and when necessary to improve the efficiency of IT equipment used with the mission. In particular, he/she will be responsible for providing support; troubleshooting and necessary maintenance with regarding to Mission’s following IT Hardware, Network, Software and related services.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Support the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of the LAN and WAN systems.
2. Provide day to day direct technical support to end-users.
3. Maintain internet connectivity and mission exchange server (for e-mail).
4. Administering local Email Accounts – add, delete and edit users account from the system.
5. Troubleshoot and repair software application problems.
6. Daily monitoring of the system – disk space, events log.
7. Install software and help guide end users through customized business applications.
8. Establish and maintain a data backup scheme.
9. Maintain mission ICT inventory and documentation.
10. Liaise with external service providers and contractors (Communication, internet services, and
connectivity, software and hardware providers).
11. Assist in defining ICT related needs and in procuring ICT equipment and software.
12. Maintain up-to-date ITC asset inventories and tracking systems.
13. Perform other related duties as may be required.

Eligibilities
- University degree, preferably in Information Technology/Information Management Systems with two years of relevant professional experience.
- Training in Operating Systems and Local Area Networks is a distinct advantage.
- Analytical, communication, interpersonal and advocacy skills, sensitive to and awareness of the local development.
- Good knowledge of computer management and applications
