icddr,b is looking for Data Management Officer 2023 in Dhaka

Job Responsibilities: 

The Data Management Officer will report to the Assistant Scientist. She/he will be required to design data entry screens; supervise data entry, clean data, analyze data, tabulate and prepare graphs/slides with the objective of providing data for analysis and preventing data loss within the guidelines of the research protocol and organizational values and guidelines. The position will be based in Dhaka Office.

The specific areas of responsibilities include:

• Design data entry screen by MS Access;
• Preparing Database according to study protocol;
• Analyze data by STATA/SPSS and tabulations of the study results from STATA / SPSS outputs; Prepare graphs/slides for reports and presentations;
• Prepare map using QGIS;
• Check data for errors in consultation with field staff; Add data into the database; Generate SPSS / STATA data file and send to concerned Principle Investigator (PI);
• Develop the Case Report Form (CRF) and Knowledge on REDCap software and CRF development by REDCap programming;
• Arrange training to develop skills of concerned staff members on data management systems;
• Provide continuous support for user queries for the field staffs;
• Train the field staff on the usage of software and digital device;
• Escalate issues / discrepancies to supervisor to retrieve data and provide cleaned versions to PIs and other team members;
• Maintain and update list of data files and research documents of both hard and soft copies;
• Check internal and external validity of data and ensure data completeness and correctness.
