BRAC is looking for Project Head, Economic Acceleration and Resilience (EARN) project 2025 in Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project management and administrative functions, ensuring effective project implementation by coordinating with the project team and BRAC senior management to achieve project goals.
  • Lead program planning, budgeting, and financial management processes, ensuring all activities comply with donor and BRAC policies and contractual requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor program staff, fostering a diverse and qualified team through effective hiring, team-building, and professional development.
  • Manage project administrative staff, joint venture staff, and sub-consultants, ensuring smooth execution of project deliverables and adherence to timelines.
  • Support the preparation of annual work plans and progress reports, ensuring timely submission to donors by coordinating efforts across the team.
  • Coordinate the activities of joint venture partners, providing oversight and monitoring their progress to ensure project success.
  • Collaborate with BRAC departments such as Research, Communication, Finance, Grants, Gender, Procurement, Audit, and Monitoring to ensure seamless integration and alignment with internal and external partners.
  • Coordinate closely with the Project Management Unit (PMU) for project implementation related matters
  • Provide technical assistance to the Curriculum Development Committee in redesigning trade specific curriculum

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Implement the safeguarding policy to establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding to establish a safe working environment.
  • Responsible for ensuring team members are appropriately, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.

Eligibilities

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in sociology, social work, Business studies, anthropology, development studies, or other relevant disciplines.
  • A minimum of 15 years of extensive experience in youth skills development programs is required, including at least 10 years in a leadership capacity as a Team Leader or Project Director.
  • Proven ability to large-scale project management skills along with tracking, managing, and allocating budgets effectively, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and donor requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of multilateral donor policies e.g. WB, ADB, IsDB,etc., procurement regulations, and compliance procedures related to project management.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills to manage and guide teams in complex, challenging environments, ensuring smooth coordination and collaboration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with local counterparts, donors, and other stakeholders, fostering cooperation and achieving project results.
  • Fluency in Bangla and strong written and oral proficiency in English
  • Ability to develop and manage strategic relationships with government bodies, development partners, and consortium partners, ensuring alignment with program goals and collaborative success.
